Chandler, Mathis and Zivley, P.C. is one of the most experienced personal injury law firms in the United States for representing clients who’ve suffered property losses burns, injuries or deaths in propane fire and propane explosion cases. Chandler, Mathis and Zivley have represented victims of propane fires and propane explosions in several states outside their home state of Texas.

A propane filling station near the Tampa International Airport sent up in flames after being struck by a truck around 1 pm on May 14, driven by Jorge Barbosa (according to local news sources).

The propane filling station was located behind an airplane meal catering firm named Gate Gourmet that provided services to airlines at Tampa International Airport. The flamed threatened this nearby business. When firefighters arrived on the scene of this 2-alarm fire, flames were shooting 20-feet into the air and presented the risk of a propane explosion, as the 700-gallon propane tank that supplied the filling station was nearby. The following video captures the event.

The firefighters did an excellent job of handling the blaze, directing water to keep the propane tank cooled down, protecting a nearby truck and the catering business while waiting for Tampa Fire Rescue hazmat technicians to arrive at the scene and shut off the flow of propane supply. Once the supply line was shut off, the flames quickly died out, but not before destroying the propane filling station.

Fortunately for everyone involved, and a smart head’s up response by Tampa’s Fire & Rescue team, no one substained burns or injuries and the propane tank did not explode.

However, sometimes propane fire and propane explosion disasters don’t always end with a successful outcome like this one. If you’re a victim of property damage, burns, injuries or death of a relative due to a propane fire or propane explosion, seek professional advise from a law firm that regular handles personal injury cases involving propane fires and propane explosions. One of the most qualified propane explosion lawyers and propane fire law firms operating in the United States is the Chandler, Mathis and Zivley law firm of Lufkin and Houston, Texas. If you feel you suffered damages or a loss due to a propane fire or propane explosion, contact one of their propane explosion lawyers now for a free consultation to explore your victims rights.

Warrick Country, Indiana: Crews from local fire departments were called to the scene of a propane tank explosion in Yankeetown, Indiana. The propane explosion took place on Eble Road, according to representatives of the local news media, and was reported to have happened around 3:00 p.m. on April 15.

The cause of this propane explosion and fire is under investigation, but is believed to have ignited when a man at the residence was cutting metal with a torch. Witnesses say the explosion took place while the man was cutting the metal. The subsequent fire spread quickly to nearby woods at the residence.

Unfortunately, the man suffered very serious burn injuries and was rushed by Lifeflight to a nearby hospital. There is no word yet, regarding the state of his condition or progress.

Nearby residents were very concerned until the fire was put out, as some nearby local homes seemed like that might be in harm’s way for a brief while.

Accidents such as this stress the importance of following safe propane handling practices and safe use of cutting torches and welding equipment. In some incidents, however, accidents like this might be caused by faulty equipment, such as a leaking propane hose, valve, regulator, cylinder or tank. If you’re the victim of a propane fire or propane explosion, you might consider consulting with a highly experienced propane fire lawyer or propane explosion attorney. This is particularly true of you’ve suffered burns, injuries or loss of property from a propane fire or propane explosion.

One of the most qualified and experienced law firms in America that has represented clients in propane fires and/or explosion injuries and death is the law firm of Chandler, Mathis and Zivley. Feel free to contact them today to discuss your propane fire and/or propane explosion injury. Call them toll-free at: 1-877-739-7744 (Houston) or 1-800-657-2230 (Lufkin).

The dispatcher was quoted as saying that it appeared that the 50-year-old male pushed a button to open a garage door Thursday morning, and it was that action that ignited propane believed to have leaked from a forklift propane cylinder. The forklift was parked inside the garage.

Local news media at the scene reported the man suffered third-degree burns and was taken to nearby Danbury Hospital. The victim’s name and his medical condition have not been released to the public at this time.

ANACORTES, Washington – Four refinery workers were injured and three are still missing after an explosion and fire rocked the Tesoro oil refinery in Washington state early Friday morning, officials said.

Tesoro Refinery human resources manager John McDarment says the blaze started in a naptha unit of the complex.

The Skagit County and Anacortes fire departments sent crews to battle the fire that erupted at 12:40 a.m. PT Friday, while Airlift Northwest told King-TV that three helicopters were dispatched.

McDarment says the plant activated emergency response procedures and that the fire was brought under control by Tesoro emergency personnel.

Airlift Northwest sent three helicopters to the scene.

KING 5 News out of Seattle began receiving phone calls reporting the refinery explosion around 12:30 am. Several people called KING 5 News after hearing or feeling the explosion. One particular caller, Jason Chinchen, says he lives three to four miles away from the refinery and felt his windows shake. Chinchen said immediately afterwards, there was a noise that sounded like a jet flying overhead, a kind of loud wind.

Witnesses in houses as far away as 5 miles said they felt their houses shake, then saw flames and black smoke.

News media covering an explosion in Indonesia has attributed the blast to a leaking LP-Gas or LPG bottle. This was according to information obtained from an interview with South Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Adang Rochjana. The blast took place in Makassar, Sulawesi earlier Tuesday, March 30, 2010.

“It seems the gas leakage was from an LPG bottle and was the cause of the blast. However, we need to carry out a laboratory test to confirm our suspicions,” the Chief Inspector General stated on Tuesday.

Police recovered evidence from the scene of the explosion. The evidence recovered included an LP-Gas stove and a 12-kilogram LPG cylinder. These will be used in an effort to try and reconstruct the explosion, which caused injuries to 3 people.

One of the blast victims, described as being named “Nurhayati,” said the explosion took place when she turned on the gas stove.
